Does the salmon oil smell?
Because our Salmon Oil is made of pure, wild-caught salmon, it does have a distinct smell that may linger on your dog’s breath after they eat it. Because of its fresh taste and smell, dogs absolutely love it!
Can the salmon oil be given with the skin & coat supplement?
Yes! Our Salmon Oil is safe to use at the recommended dosage in conjunction with all of our supplements. For dogs with chronic allergies, we recommend using both Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil and Skin & Coat Supplements.
Can this be given to a puppy?
Yes, suitable for puppies over 12 weeks
Should I introduce the salmon oil slowly to my dogs diet?
Most dogs handle Salmon Oil seamlessly, but introducing anything new into your dog’s diet too quickly may lead to an upset stomach. We recommend adding 1 pump per day until you reach the recommended dosage. If their bathroom habits/consistency do not return to normal within a week, or they experience vomiting or diarrhea, speak to your veterinarian.
I like to add some Salmon oil to my dogs food as a preventative measure against arthritis after surgery a few years ago. Happy Tails is a lovely local shop with great value products 👍😁
